Where can I find some red seat belts (ideally front and rear) for my 997TT? I went to a couple sponsor sites and they're almost $1000 for the set of four. Is there an alternative to the OEM belts? I just can't see why belts need to cost $1k, unless they're braided with gold threads...

I checked out Suncoast and a few other sites already. With shipping I guess I looking at about $500 for the front and another $500 if I want to do the back. I guess that's just what they cost.

Maybe some red fuzzy belt covers will look just as good

I got my fronts from Suncoast. Pretty neat, easy install.

if that's too much, you should take this alternative then....

cheaper than new, but you need to send yours first... it may be an option just to buy a pair of black ones and have them re-do it, so you don't have a down time with your car...

They are standard in my GT3RS and very cool. Front only of course as there aren't any seats in the back. I actually wish I had them also on my white turbo. A friend of mine has the red belts in his white turbo and they look great. He optioned his. I never thought I would like red belts but they are a nice touch for sure especially in the RS. Good luck! They will look nice!

I'm definitely going to do it!

My car is in the shop right now getting the center console and some pieces on the door painted in red right now. A red Tequipment cage and red belts should complete the picture. I was thinking about red seatbacks but I don't want to go overboard.

Post some photos when it is completed. It sounds like it will look great.

I went with the Maxspeed alternative and let me tell you it's well worth it.
I paid $300 to have my 4 black belts changed to Guard Red, my local Porsche Dealer was charging over $1400 !!!

You simply send your belts to Maxspeed, they remove the original belt from the mechanism and they put the new one. In other words, all mechanisms and buckles stay the same with same stock OEM serial numbers, only the color is changing.

Carlito, what color did you chose? Can you post pics?
I get the feeling that the maxspeed alternative has slightly different (not as vibrant) colors as the original?
Thanks

My car is black with red brake calipers so I went with red belts, I have not compared my new belts with the "real" red belts from a Porsche dealer but to me they look almost the same.

It's raining a lot today so I took pictures inside my garage:
