Tint questions: I did the search BUT

I want to know what you guys think. I have a waiver in this stupid state for up to 35% on front and 70% on the windshield.

I have the waiver for Eye surgery so I really need the tint. I know some dont like it a ton but I need it. SO that being said, I have a black 997TT,
Should I do the front windshield?
I was thinking ceramic which on?
Should I go to 35% on the sides?

If not what should I do? I understand I can wear sunglasses but Im the guy wearing them when its overcast or I squint sometimes its nice to not worry about having them in the car or going into the theater with them on and it be dark when I leave.

Oh I was reading the different ceramics does anyone have a preference on the big 3

Do you do any tracking? Most drivers oppose the use of tint in a car that receives any track time.

Why am I asking? Because I want to know how far to go. I do not track the car.

I specifically asked do I want to get the windshield tinted?

I think I could get by with 40ish but ceramic is supposedly the $@#$#@ So i might need less.
Point is if you need the tint for a medical reason do you go ALL out? or get the mins?

You would need to consider your local area specifically. Providing an idea of where you are from would be helpful as different states have varying legal limitations. If you are considering 40% VLT, this is actually pretty dark. Just for comparison purposes, factory glass is generally between 85%-88%.

Also is heat rejection a high priority. Here's an example of how some top end products would perform:

VA has a medical Waiver that lets you tint to 35% all around including 70% on the windshield. I have that waiver. Hence my questions.

I am wondering when do I get diminishing returns from the heat rejection and UV block, and start getting stopped every 10 feet having to show my waiver. If 50-40 has the same benefits as 30% then i would go with the less tint.

Depends on the film. As others have mentioned, this is highly subjective in terms of looks. Speak with your tint installer in person and look at samples in person.

I got 35 on both sides and 20 on the backglass and I love it.
Here it's forbidden to tint the windshield.

My eyes are extremely sensitive to the sun ~ have to have sunglasses on any time I step out the door (even on rainy/overcast days) and eye doc just told me, "Stay out of the sun!" If you can, go as dark as possible everywhere but the windshield, but most definitely tint it also ~ just concerned about night driving.

Holy crap get a new Doc. I had eye surgery but still. If states realize there are medical conditions then your doc should. Also to that, ask him if he wants to point you in the direction of night jobs and how you can life with your family and friends when you live at night. Or just tell him you will turn him in to the board.

I recall a thread here that it was pointed out that some turbos look terrible with tint and some look good. I am going to put the money into the tint but at the same time, too dark looks dumb

I have 35% all around and 70% on the windshield.
It looks very dark on the outside but you can see fine on the inside, even at night.
If i were to do it all over again i would not go more than 50% on the sides.
