Low boost pressure
Low boost pressure
2011 Porsche 997 Turbo
Today I was getting driving my car and the boost would not go past 2psi. I pulled over and turned off the engine for 5 minutes. When I got on the car again, this time the boost hit 15psi. Last week I installed a catless valvetronic exhaust feeding off a vacuum line to actuate the valve. The vacuum closes the valves and when the car goes over 3500rpm the valves open (no longer needing vacuum). I never had a problem before until today. The temperature today was 107 degrees, not sure if that played a part.
Here is the pic of the vacuum tube I used to feed the valvetronic. It is the clear tube with a small black connector. I believe it goes to the throttle body? I used a T fitting to feed off of. The clear tube is located next to the rear axle and transmission. Here is a photo.
Anyone might have a suggestion as to what might have been the problem? The car seems to be running fine. Also, before the exhaust the max was 11psi, now its 15psi.

I did not get a cel when this happened; however, I got a cel just tonight just after I wrote this thread. I will have to find the code but I cant imagine it being the O2 sensors because I bought the mini cat 02 plugs from bigdaddiesgarage.
If the car misfires at idle then you have a vacuum leak. Did you check the hoses in your intake at all? Also you MAF sensors? Maybe something's loose there. It can even be a Y-pipe clamp that came off or even an intercooler hose that got loose...
Yes
Hope you get it resolved asap.
