Pdk paddles to tiptronic Turbo

PaulG - where can we find the parts needed to do this (aside from the obvious factory Porsche wheel and airbag)... is there someone making an after-market control box for the conversion? I've spoken to several people here in the USA and everyone is stumped on how to make this conversion! Thanks

From what I have read it seem like 08 and newer it can be done. I have not read a single 07 that it has been done. Just problems that it can't
You need to find a tech that knows their way around the PWIS computer. There is a "secret" setting in there that you have to change to PDK. Seems to me that if you could ask around to different techs to see if they know of such a choice and see if your car has it before you start the process.

So, why not see it that option it there first?

The option of PDK is in the control unit that you will change and in the PIWIS you don't change anythink about the control unit of the tiptronic.

Well...i really forgot to add my findings here...So far i ve managed to make it work on two different 997tt my07...i will post video tomorrow to show operation...paddles are working amazing, car is fun to drive in manual mode (yes, yes) and this mod is great...however i spent many piwis hours in order to make it operate correctly...today madsex343 car had the same wheel installed and everything works fine...
P.S. it is totally different procedure on a my07 and my08 car...However it works on both after correct programming...

07 tip paddle shift wheel FVD
I have a 07 tip. I changed out the steering with to the FVD paddle shift wheel with no issues. This was the first mod I did. FVD wheel and hub is plug and play. PDK was not out at the time I did the conversion. I have had no issues the the FVD wheel and there product has OE fitment quality. Porsche really tried not to follow Ferrari's lead by not do a paddle shift wheel. Some times Prosche should just steal technology that works. Now they just have to come up with a PKD transmission that will take more power.
