As he replied in your other thread:

So there you have it, 615BHP if you are running 93, which unfortunately you are not (unless you run 100 which I believe you have available out there?). I would say about 10% less power on 91 octane, give or take.

In a nutshell - give me a call, get the tune, have fun.
10% less power with 91 fuel really? If true I'm glad I stuck with my 93 tune.

So even though I run this juice through my car: http://retail.petro-canada.ca/en/fuelsavings/3925.aspx

I still only get the benefits of using 91 Octane since that's the tune I chose through Softronic. Since when I'm out of Edmonton chances are ill run into gas stations with 91.

Just curious, does anyone have dyno sheet of a 997tt running:

Softronic tune
Exhaust
93 oct

Just curious since most other tunes with the same mods give you ~550hp flywheel.... Softtronic is claiming 615hp flywheel.

That is kind of a HUGE difference

I'd be more interested to see some 60-130 or 100-200kmh times, every dyno is different.

Yes i would like to see anything that we can compare Softtronic vs "other tunes" as softronic claims a significant gain over everyone else...

Anyone?

to be honest , as i said many times before softronic is the leader for OBD2 port tuning , here in kuwait we are running many 996tt , 997tt tuned by softronic !! stock turbos and bigger turbos with big success !! we use 93 octane for pump gas so we run good times ,

we dyno a stock tip 997tt by dyno jet to see what will it make , it made only 414awhp testing from 4th gear !!! after just softronic tune it made 481awhp , and the guy was very happy from how smooth and fast it was !!!! few days later he installed DVs , BMC filter and good flow catless exhaust , it made 539awhp !!! car was unbelievable !

If you make the subtraction here that makes us almost 60hp at the wheels with the addition of an exhaust and a BMC drop in filter... 60whp is 75-80hp at the crank... Either there is a mistake here or this must be some super exhaust...

you forgot an important factor here , there are many kinds of dynos with diffrent type of load , as example if you go to dyno jet ,what ever car you run and you made , lets say 400whp , then you go to mustang dyno you will get 375whp or maybe less !! dynos are diffrent , so numbers are diffrent too !!! what i allways recommend is when you run your car and test in the dyno , keep running and use the same dyno allways !!!

There was a thread on this a while back. I wonder why the other tuners are staying out of it?

To answer your question yes! Many reputable tuner’s speak in rwhp. Especially if they have spent a lot of time testing on the dyno. In fact in Michigan we almost look at it as child’s play when people say bhp. Its like that’s the terms that the younger newbies play with and the big boys mainly talk RWHP. On awd cars it is harder because the lack of AWD dyno's vs rwd dyno's.
Obviously if you want to make the biggest sounding number your going to use BHP. And I dont blame the tuners that do. I get it it makes since for marketing. I'm just saying to pay attention to BHP numbers Vs RWHP
.

Guys,

Scott from Softronic gave me a call to discuss these questions. As per my other post I got the answers and in fact with a tune, exhaust and 93 octane fuel 615hp at the crank is absolutely possible. Dan at Vivid posted the graphs illustrating such gains and the those were from Softronic tunes in 2008. I am sure the software has been tweaked since then as well.

EDIT: these were with the 2007 997.1 Turbo based on the 3.6l engine. Not the 3.8l fyi.

Cheers,
Spatia.
