Finally found one. Getting a PPI completed tomorrow.

So my 997TT search has come to a head. The only obvious option the car is missing from my criteria is that it has standard seats when I was looking for a car with sport or adaptive sport seats. I'm a large guy, 6'4" ~280 lbs so I'm hoping I actually fit in the standard seats better than the big bolstered sport seats. Although I'd really like the GT3 seats eventually(the sport seat with alcantara inserts not the carbon backed ones).

The color combo is right, cobalt over black, 2007 with low miles and has remaining CPO on it.

Couple questions:
Transferring the CPO, what's the cost and how long does it take?

Any other advice along the way?

**I don't beleive the car has a clear bra, what's the best solution for protecting the front end short term? Planning on driving it back 28 hours.

This will be my first Porsche. Been an Audi guy since 2002. I can't wait to hear back on the PPI. Hoping to pull it all together to pick it up on Friday.

CPO is transferable call your dealer and they should help you.

FYI, on my CPO they NEVER asked one thing about it. Looked it up in the system I guess handed me keys to a loaner a4 and out I went.
I absolutely Love the porsche experience.

Seems like all the links people have posted to porscheusa.com lead to a page that isn't there any more. I've found plenty of discussions on here and rennlist that say the CPO just stays with the VIN.

Here's a link saying no charge: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...88-post10.html

Going to call my local dealer to double check today.

CPO is transferable as long as you are buying from a Porsche dealer/private party. However if it's bought at an independent dealer then you lose the certification.

Welcome to the Porsche experience

I used Road Wrap for my drive from S. Florida to Orlando a few months ago when I bought mine.

It wasn't pretty but it kept the paint clean.

Yes, I plan to put a clear bra on once I get it back.

Thanks, I'll check this out. Might be happening too quick to get that though. If it all works out I'll be on a plane at 9 am tomorrow to go get it.

understand - no chance to have it put on in the city where you pick it up ?

I've also seen where people use Blue Painter's Tape as a temp bra for just such a move

You can try my seats if you want but it sounds like they won't stop you from buying the car even if you loathe them. My 300lbs bud fit just fine.

Yeah, I think I'm locked in at this point. I appreciate the offer and it makes me feel better that you fit fine.

I did find out that the car already has a clear bra, +1 on that.
