Airbox Removal to Install BMC Filter - DIY
Like I mentioned, unless you are planning to do other performance mods, keep your $250 dollars and buy a fresh OE filter every year for $40 dollars. With my math, you will have a fresh filter for the next 6 years and never worry about screwing up your sensor!
I've had my BMC for several months now. It's a myth that it increases HP or will cause a CEL. I haven't experienced either. IMO it's a sales and marketing ploy. Don't waste your money. Save it for something that is measurable and counts like a tune or an exhaust.
Don't do it White Rock! It is a waste of your money! Buy some Inlet Pipes or dinner for your wife...much better investments....
Seriously...These do NOTHING, but increase sound a little...Let more dirt in your engine, and fall apart after about a year or less....I know from experience.
Just trying to help...
Good luck,
DC

Don't worry I'm not. I just bought a Turbo S carbon fiber airbox and needed to know how to swap the factory plastic one.

I did it for the sound. Makes the spool a little more wicked. I would highly doubt it would increase power at stock levels. But at 600-650 who knows...this unit may flow slightly better at those levels.
