Paint measuring device?

Any suggestions as to which Paint meter is a better choice (economical, accurate and price) ?

Seems like, anytime I buy a car, I spend more time explaining, talking and getting the paint meter reading from dem dang dealers then the entire time spent looking for the actual car

Thanks

A really good one is made by
http://www.southern-tool.com/store/DeFelskoProducts.php

There are a few types made by them. I would suggest getting one that reads both metal and fiberglass.

I use this:

I don't really use it for detailing - but it is super helpful in evaluating used cars.

I JUST bought this from the "Bay" for $99 shipped from Poland, it seems to work well, i tested it on several cars and it seems pretty accurate.
it fits nicely in a pocket and comes with a small zippered vinyl pouch for storage.
