Steering wheels swap
I ve done it in 6 cars in greece....5 tip and one manual....for tip cars you need an ecu of steering column but not a new one from porsche...it is a litlle complicated....for manual you need wheel airbag and harness modification to operate the horn properly...if you need any further info pm me...
Can you help me with the horn wiring please.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but need some feedback after I installed a 997.2 Sport Design steering wheel into my 997.1 Turbo. I had it programmed for a multifunctional steering wheel for the horn to work. Good news is that the horn works now; however, when I turn off the car, the horn beeps once. Anybody run into this challenge and have a solution?

Question.
I switched from the standard triangle wheel with multi-function to a 997.1 Sport wheel a couple years ago (manual trans car),.. and everything was just plug and play.
Then yesterday I switched to a 997.2 Sport manual wheel like in the pic above from Derrick,... The horn works,.. but I have a red airbag light on the dash.
What's the solution?

Thanks Brennan.
I tried 30 min with battery unplugged first. No help.
Today I reset the codes overall with Durametric. No help.
Then I went back in and reset the PSM, Airbag and instrument cluster codes all separately.
Started the car up and the airbag light is gone. But, now I have a PSM failure.
I saw that before when I changed the steering wheel 2 years ago,.. and it went away on it's own after a block of driving.
So I pulled the car out and drove down the street,.... and it went off. All good. Clean dash.
BUT,.. a block later the PSM failure came back on.
Hook up Durametric again and I get 2 codes under Stability.
4444 (Steering Angle calibration),... and
4431 (Other)

But why would I need to do that?
One,.. I don't think you can with an Enthusiast Durametric cable (which is all I have).
And two,.. the steering angle sensor is 3"-4" further down the steering column,.. and that area wasn't touched.

The steering angle sensor is attached to the steering wheel. If you changed your wheel, you touched the sensor.

They show that the steering angle sensor is part of that think you plug the steering wheel into on the steering column.
It remains part of the column when you remove the steering wheel,... and as such,.. shouldn't have been affected by a wheel swap. For sure when I swapped my wheel 2 years ago I didn't have to calibrate anything.
Can it even be done with a Durametirc Enthusiast?
