Steering wheel 997.2 in 997.1

hello
sorry for my English, I live in Spain.
I have a Porsche 997 TT 07
and I have a question, I hope someone can help me.

my car has the sport steering wheel as the photo:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I want to change it to the new steering wheel and airbag of 997.2

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

my car is 6 speed and I have the wheel "clean" since I have no buttons or multifunction buttons for Tiptronic.
I wonder if anyone has done it successfully.
please i need information.
as to completely change my view the interior of the car making it look much more modern.

best regards

Send a message to the guy who made the change - Joel Pirela - can't get a better review than that.

hello
I have contacted suncoast.

and they have responded:

"We have done the retro fit on other 997S but not the turbo. The Turbo is a little different than the other 997S"

you have successfully managed to make a 997.1 turbo?

Why do you want to change your original sport wheel to this one???? Where exactly is the big difference? If there is ANY reason at all for this "upgrade" this would be the paddle shifts for the tiptronic. Since you have a manual I suggest you keep your $2K or spend it on a tune or something that has a meaning to the car. If you insist on this purchase though then bear in mind that you need an airbag too that is not included in the new wheel... But you can surely install this steering without any issues. You might need some coding from the dealer though which is no big deal.

I appreciate your advice. in my opinion is a great mod, is something you feel every day every time you drive. new steering wheel is the best wheel porsche history, is leather, aluminum.
the old wheel is thin plastic, is uglier than the bastard son of Gerard de Pardieu.
