Finally Ran the Turbo at Sebring!

I probably shouldn't have as I think I might sell the Vette.

Very nice! Can you tell if there's a difference between the steel and PCCBs?

Yes, with the steel rotors I don't cringe every time I get out after a session to see if my rotors survived.

All joking aside, on the street the pedal feel of the PCCBs is nicer, no brake dust, cool yellow calipers, and ever having to replace the discs are advantages. On the track the Turbo brakes never fade and the tires are the limit for the braking throughout the sessions.

Very nice, how do you compare the Turbo to the Vette?

Until this weekend I believed the Vette was as much if not more fun around Sebring but I think it was because I had only run it on street tires and I hadn't learned enough about driving the last time I ran the Turbo. Now I am seriously considering selling the Corvette to run the Turbo instead.

Were you on street tires on the track or R-comps?

That is definitely one fasttt997 ! I;m curious on what system are you using to capture the telemetry data in you video ? If you are heading to Sebring this weekend with Chin motorsports, I will be the with my 07 Arctic Silver coupe.

I wish I was heading back this weekend! Sadly my wife has a one track day a month policy.

What does it take to get yourself out on the track and run? Any classes/courses? Or just pay and run all day???

There are groups in the regions that rent the track and offer instruction I novices. Once you are cleared to be solo you can run on your own. The PCA does it nationally and is a great group to start with.
