My mod list is even less than yours.I think you have modified exhaust housing on 63.5mm vtg's.I use stock housing with 63.5mm.I run pump gas(91 octane) plus methanol.NO aftermarket intercoolers.

100-200 5.3secs
60-130 6.3secs

Hi Red...

The oldest set of 68mm VTG's I have out on the street is probably almost 5 years old at this point. That particular car is local to us and has had no issues with the turbochargers. He's probably put well over 30 or 40k miles on the car. There are a few others out there with high mileage as well. We run them more or less right at peak efficiency, great EGT's, so they should last just as long as a completely stock VTG.

As for fuel..there's two answers. Pump gas (93 octane) and race gas (100+ octane). With the GIAC software we use, we are able to install two separate fuel maps into the ECU. So, for daily driving you can use 93 octane, and for track days or other times, you can use anything higher then 100 octane in our race map.

The HP numbers that I post from our test cars is almost always 93 octane pump gas, unless I specifically mention otherwise.

Let me know if there's any other questions I can answer for you.

Protomotive doesn't want to push more than 1.4bar on VTG's and GT30's to be safe on the stock Tiptronic
Recently i found someone that is running 68VTG's on stock Tiptronic, i wonder how much boost he's running and if the 68VTG's are overkill for that set up.

Anyway, With a $300 price difference, 65VTG's from champion are a waste of time and money comparing to the 68VTG's
I like to walk on solid ground so i only will move to upgraded the turbos, after having a tiptronic ESME kit installed.

The diference is mainly due to gears number. For speeds up to 200km/h the tip needs less gears, so is faster. Above 200km/h the manual due to its closer gear ratio, keeps the engine closer to hp peak at each upshift which helps alot to beat aero drag.

I ordered the tip kit in the beginning of the year and got the sad news that ESMOTOR doesn't sell the kit anymore. You need to send the transmission and buy a power kit from them.

I'm afraid you are going to struggle to find someone who can tune this engine and gearbox beyond stage 2 as it is not so strong compared with the gen 1 engine! Still crazy fast with stage 2 mods!

Well i thought so as some companies claim the do but no figures given and they dont seem to come back and answer any questions as how did they achieve a figure of 650bhp on a gen2 turbo or turbo s.
