My thoughts as well. Here's what I found in one of my coolers...

Does the sand or Rock effect my perfomence? How much surface area do they intercoolers need to be affective? My car was seeming slighlyu sluggish prior to this event. I was thinking that i was starting to get use to the power. Is there more to this? Something so simple. Spark plugs? Car has 42,000mi on it.,

The obstruction to airflow probably wouldn't effect your drive until you build up heat - then your ECU would probably pull timing, boost due to inability to cool IATs.

AZTurbo is infamous around these parts
I cleaned my intercoolers out today and had 8 cigarette butts and a partial packaging of cigarettes. Stupid drivers throwing them out the window I guess!

Recently have completed my spark plug change and noticed that my Intercoolers weighed a lot. I couldn't even get a light through them, given this last post, I think I need to update my intercoolers to the GT2RS 997.2. I am sure they still weigh less then what I currently have!

The stock .1 intercoolers are so crappy that if you even think you might want to upgrade, you should go ahead and do it. My goodness these pictures are crazy. I had 42k on my turbo when I upgraded and I had nothing but a couple of pebbles in each. They weren't dark or dirty or anything like the ones I'm seeing here haha. You guys need to upgrade. The factory ones are just terrible.

At least you didn't find a used condom in there... Then I'd be worried.

Looks like previous owner spent some time driving on recently resurfaced roads.

As alluded to by others, it's obvious to me that vandals have used your air scoops as a rock depository. Since you have it apart, now would be a great time for an intercooler upgrade

Just Rocks and tire. I think everything else (Pwdrhound) would have burned away since no air could circulate through them.

Should have the new GT2 coolers on Wednesday.

Pwdrhound, he tends to get too close to my car at times and tends to leave some articles behind from time to time.
