So...I previously shoved my road bike in a bike bag and stuffed it into the back of my 997 - but I got tired of dealing with it and went with the Porsche roof rack and Thule Force 624 Large Box. And yes - the guys at work have lost all respect for me as of this morning. I'm officialy NOT a car guy after doing this to my turbo they say .

Here are some pix - easy install and bike fits right in - wheels off - seat tube off.

Please don't hate me...the bike and rack will come off after every trip!

Haha. No hate here. It's a good feeling driving home in the turbo after a nice refreshing ride. Nice bike btw!

wish there was a solution for the cab....

I used to do the same on a C4S....made summer road trips/camping a breeze and more enjoyable getting there. Got some funny looks in the campgrounds with the rocket box and two bikes on top. Surprisingly not too hard on gas, although I probably drove a little differently top-loaded.

Possibly the only thing that I miss about moving up to the TT cab.

Have fun!

Thats what the rack is for. I like it.

Question, do they sell new cameras wherever you bought that rack?

Imo the exposed bicycle carrier looks better. The box type one just looks bad.

Totally agree - the bike rack looks much cooler and I have no problem showing a bike off! However, I need to leave the bike on the car while at work - so need it in a secure container - the box is perfect for that...however a bit on the ugly side no doubt. And to make sure the bike fits in the box - the Force 624 L has perfect dimensions.
