In addition to the warning light, have them check the safety latch...and the speedometer - 15mph seems rather slow to slam the hood into the windshield.

 

Make sure the $600 hood is the Turbo version which is aluminum & not the Carrera 997 version .

 

All 997's have aluminum hoods - same part numbers for 997. The TT has aluminum doors.

You have the right car, go for the GT2RS look. Dry carbon hood, carbon scoops, etc.

 

Seriously? this intake is $3500 right? It looks awesome, finish looks amazing, but there have to be other mods that offer much more bang for the buck. What HP are you going for?

Nothing crazy.... whatever i can get with Softronic, werks1 intake and catless x exhaust sistem from 911tune and maybe later i will look for bigger intercoolers

Here's the issue - Once the hood is replaced and painted the car takes a dimished value hit and as i look at the photos the hood appears bent but I am not seeing any clear coat removed . Also a painted hood can at some point make the car look like a two tone car if it fades .

One of my previous Porsches was hit by a piece of road debris and I managed to spare two panels from being painted by selecting a dent specialist . https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ng-debris.html

My point is that every effort to refrain from painting is important.

BTW I have the Werks airbox in my car and i love it .

 

Well, you got a killer deal, but if I'm not mistaken, you won't really start to see any benefit from intake until around 700hp, other than a very cool looking engine bay.

 

I totally agree with you 100/ but at this point i have to paint and fix the hood so now i'm just worry about the lines of the hood, if they fix it i don't think the car is going to be 100 perfect

I don't know much about cars and performance, the only thing that really change my car was Softronic, let's just wait until i get the airbox and the exhaust.

I'm not planing to go any further than this ( maybe intercoolers but that's about it) so i hope i can get some pretty decent results, i'm not speed racer so i don't need 1200whp lol i be happy with 600hp

Hope the repairs are progressing. Did the dealer find out why you didn't get the warning light? I meant to post this last week - pretty hard to miss when it's working properly.
