Bad news, i need opinions
Still haven't heard what happened to the safety latch in this and other cases. Seems like the safety latch engages unless you purposely try not to engage it. This happened to a friend of mine, but he tried to put something in the boot that wouldn't fit and he thought he could drive slow enough to keep the hood from flying open.
I didn't have time to take it to the dealer yet, maybe I should do it before I fix the car right?
Probably can wait until the replacement hood is installed since I'm sure you're super vigilant now about the hood but I'd still want to know why the safety latch didn't work and why you didn't get a warning on the dash.
Do you think if there is something wrong with the light they will fix my car?
Maybe they'd fix the switch that controls the light but no way they would fix the hood - you already told the "world" (at least the 6speed world) that it was user error.
It was a human error however the light wasn't on

Have you popped the hood to see if the light works now (car has to running) - that's the first thing the dealer will do. BTW, the light is not hard to miss (see my picture) - it's a message, not just a light.
