Suncoast offered it in the past but not anymore to my knowledge. It seems only some of the guys overseas have done this swap successfully.

I did a swap to a 997.2 multifunction on a manual car, its pricey. Yes the PDK wheel conversion has been done. Contact Ric Knab at Suncoast he'll tell you what is needed.

 

Ofcourse it can be done.. I have it on my tip car.. it works perfectly.

 

Strangely enough we have 4 varified tip cars in Greece with pdk paddle steering wheel...

 

Not only that , you are the only country in the world with more than one 07-08 turbo with PCM3

Search is your friend Leo. The PC3 thread is recent maybe on 2nd page now. The steering wheel is a bit older but should be easy to find. Been discussed and argued over many a times.
Having said that, I drove Skand's car sunday, a 2007 tip with paddles which worked perfectly. And they do shift faster too! This guy is a magician sometimes (most times). But its a very pricey conversion mind you.

 

I just like the paddles, when you said pricey how much more or less is that?

my service guy at my dealer told me the pdk steering wheel will not work with tiptronics.

 

Find an other service guy..

It is an easy upgrade (not like pcm)

You need steering wheel with paddles, new style airbag and a small control unit that you find beside the airbag... You program with piwis as pdk and it works..
