Is there a DIY somewhere over here regarding the tiptronic transmission oil change?

I tried to search with different terms but could not find anything related to that other than dealer pricing.

 

The job is a bit involved. I vaguely recall some of the steps with the older 996 Tips but not nearly well enough to post them in any useful order.

I know some here are DIY crazy but the Tip fluid change I'd leave for a shop or even a dealer, some place that knows how to do this and do it right and will use the right fluid.

Mess up a 6-speed tranny fluid change and the tranny might survive no worse for the wear.

Mess up a Tip tranny fluid change and... Well, price a replacement Tip before you proceed and decide if the big potential risk is worth the small gain.

 

I, heard the same thing it's not that simple the fluid has to be a certain Temp etc.

 

Yes, I also indeed have considered taking it to the dealer, due to the relative complexity of the fluid change.
