Rear Fender Ding?

Well, today I noticed a mysterious DING right on my rear driver side fender... The paint is perfect, you can barely notice it. I was wondering if it's possible to take it out on this area?

Here's a picture. The DENT is not actually on this picture, but I've circled where it is with red, and I've marked the position of the dent with green.

It's right on the line, like something sharp hit it, but it's not deep.

Possible to take out? if so, how do I go behind this area? Isn't it double walled?

Thank you!

The rear fender is easily accessible by removing the rear wheel and fender lining.

However, a door ding that crosses a body crease can be very difficult to completely remove.

Yea that was my fear... It's in a terrible place... I guess knowing that you can access that spot I will have a professional take a look at it and see what he says.

Is there any risk of paint popping out when taking it out?

Also, you may be able to get at it by removing the tail-light. Obviously, take it to a professional dent/ding remover.

Ask around, don't shop cheap. Find out who the guys are with the best skills - they aren't always the guys that high end dealerships use.

Here's a before and after in a similar bad spot.

I had a worse dent in my old 997, a pro took it out, 150$, worth every cent.

Mine is not that big! It's way smaller . I'm guessing something sharp hit it sideways.

I have hope now! I thought that area was not reachable.

I'll ask again though to be sure, no risk of paint popping off the car right?

Second that. Call around and find out who the dealers are using. I found a guy that took a dent out from the taillight. Couldn't even tell when he was done. Definitely worth a try.

I had a small dent in that same area and got it professionally removed. Because of where the dent was, you can see a some waviness in the paint in certain angles.

Ok I went to a professional shop.

They even had 2 Porsche there so I could show them exactly where the ding is at.

They told me they could get it out no problem, however, I want to be sure this is normal.

They said they use a special cream that "softens" the spot a little and then they push it out. I've never heard of these creams.

Anyone can confirm?

Never heard of cream either. What are they "softening?"

I'm not sure... The guy's explanation was that they do it in a dark area, no sun, they apply some cream on the surface that softens the car's surface in order to get the ding out without risking the paint...

But i'm a little worried here...
