For the 997.1 turbo:

1.0 bar = 14.5 psi
1.2 bar = 17.4 psi (overboost limit for 10 seconds with Sport Chrono and Sport mode selected)

If you think it is something different, please enlighten us.

I'm asking for 997.2 turbo. Reason I want to know is I'd like to see if my softronic tune is actually working. When I loaded the tuned file I had write errors and had to keep trying. It finally loaded but I didn't have to do the throttle body adaptation as stated in the instructions. The car was fairly new at the time so I hadn't really pushed it wide open at stock so I wasn't able to really compare it with the tuned file. That's why I'd like to know the stock boost so I can see if there is more boost after my tune than stock.

I'm just asking because I only see 10~11psi on stock boost gauge. I'm not sure how accurate stock gauge reading is.

Why don't you compare stock file and tuned file yourself using stock boost gauge?

I'm worried if I try to load the stock file back in I will get the same write errors...and it was a nightmare getting the car to work. At the time softronic had updated their software. They told me to go back and use their old software... But I really am not sure i want to take the risk.

Nothing to be worried about. Its pretty straight forward and easy to do.

I flashed my own 2011 Turbo S several times between the 2 and it was minutes if you have everything setup correctly and follow the instructions.

What power source did you use when upload the file? I think the strong power source is the critical. When I used midium sized battery charger($40 from Walmart), I had same error nessage and couldn't read out the ecu. When I used bigger stronger charger, everything was fine.

It was the software client I was using. Power source and Internet connection are fine. I just ran the car and at full throttle I get 15psi regardless of normal, sport, or sport plus mode. Does that sound about right?

Invoice number 130407. Bought Jan 17th. I don't know how to pm on the iPhone. I'm pretty certain tune is working. Just unsure why it didn't go into the limp mode

I never know forum names... Now I know you Are you on the stock exhaust or aftermarket? Do you see 15psi in standard or sport? What gear are you doing this pull in and are you doing a full pull to redline?

A helpful tip for other users. I originally had an issue reading out my ecu. The first time it said something like connection error and failed. The second time it did start reading out, but then started taking an extremely long time and reading very slowly.

I realized that the issue was that my laptop was configured to "conserve power" even when the battery was plugged in. To fix I was able to create a new power profile that had everything set to use as much power as possible. I am using windows 7 but there should be something similar in other windows versions. I went to control panel->Power Options. Then I created a new power profile, based on the maximum performance default, then customized it to make sure everything had the most aggressive power settings and to never turn off (no power down hard drive/monitor/hibernate/suspend regardless of if it was running on battery or not... just in case that cable got knocked out).

This resolved my issue.

I also disabled the "media card reader" that just happened to share the the same internal usb hub in the laptop.. just for good measure.
