997.1 TT... Up arrow on the boost gauge
Hello All,
Members with 997.1 TT's, who see up arrows in their boost gauges, do gauges read (0-7-14) or (0-9-18)?
It seems like the latter don't seem to have the up arrows?
Thanks

You only have the over boost arrow when you have sport chromo and in sport mode. Search boost and over boost here and you'll find plenty of discussion on whether the gauge goes up to 14 or 18!
No definite answer why some 997.1 TT's have 0-14 and some/most with 0-18?

Yes. 0-14 if you don't have sport chromo. If you have sport chrono and your readout is only to 14, it is a very early car or something was done to your ECU. There is a long thread on the topic. You only get to 18psi on a stock car with sport chrono in over boost, i.e. sport button activated.
No, it doesn't go to overboost automatically. It will only go into overboost with the sport button on. Then you need to put the gas all the way to the floor. Then hold on tight! A second of turbo lag and then the afterburner kicks in! The overboost will stay on for up to 20 seconds, more info is in the manual.
