Unfortunately my local dealer only offers EasyCare. But they accept Fidelity. So I will have to get Fidelity from another dealer. But yes warranty can be purchased anywhere and applied anywhere (Porsche dealer or authorized indy).

My local dealer's EasyCare offerings were literally 3x the price of Fidelity's.

Haven't seen the fine print but the sales guy said it was "only" wear items excluded.

They also said prices go up if you're over 35k miles(I'm just under ;-)) but they don't verify the mileage in any way. Another highlight he gave was that they will fix failing parts prior to a complete failure. Example given was a power window actuator dying a slow death could be replaced before it completely dies.

He did also say it didn't help that I'm still under CPO. I have until the end of the month under warranty so I'm going to have to call Fidelity sooner than later.

thirst is infamous around these parts
For the Fidelity Platinum, these are listed to be excluded from coveraged:

UNDER PLATINUM COVERAGE, ANY OF THE FOLLOWING PARTS ARE EXCLUDED:
Brake linings, brake drums and rotors, disc brake pads, standard transmission clutch components and assemblies, air bags, solar powered devices, hinges, glass, lenses, sealed beams, body parts and/or panels, trim, moldings, door handles, lock cylinders, tires, wheels, all batteries except Hybrid/EV/High Voltage batteries as listed under Silver Coverage Plan, light bulbs, upholstery, paint, bright metal, freeze plugs, heater and radiator hoses, exhaust system, shock absorbers, audio/security or other systems not factory installed, work such as front-end alignment or wheel balancing, constant velocity joint boots, safety restraint systems, cellular phones, radar detectors, appliances, or vinyl and convertible tops.

Standard transmission Clutch component and assembly - would this include the clutch slave cylinder?

Those who bought warranty, what kind of items and repair bill has the warranty covered? Is it worth 4,000 to buy a 5 year 60k mile warranty?

I don't think Costco asks for PPI either, so that's a plus.

My understanding is that there are price jumps at 25K and 30K miles.

I received a call from my dealer with pricing information. Again ~35k miles on my car.

Fidelity Platinum:
$100 deductible
3/36: $4890
6/60: $7929

$250 deductible
3/36: $3869
6/60: $5985

Again I haven't seen the fine print on the Costco warranty but the price is a hell of a lot better. I do plan to at least chip the car so I'm torn on the warranty. The dealership also told me it didn't make a difference that I was still under CPO. Since I can get it any time I may just wait.

I would verify the "didnt make a difference that I was still under CPO" comment. I heard otherwise, Fidelity's application has a field which specifically request this info.

Like the original post stated /// added on in addition to whatever the current miles are on the clock. And years start the day you buy the coverage.

Example: you have a 2005 with 20k miles on the clock. If you bought the 6/60 warranty it would be good 2019/90k miles.
