997.1 TT Speedtech Exhausts installed w/pics Moderate version 3.0

997.1 TT Speedtech Exhausts installed w/pics Moderate version 3.0
Hello all,
Got my speedtech exhaust system installed a couple of days back and finally took some pictures of my car with it. I haven't come across any pictures of a 997.1 TT with this system so here goes....
My views on this setup (I ordered the Moderate 3.0 version with ceramic coating and re-used my Techart tips)
PROS:
- John@speedtech hooked me up with an awesome price including 5 day shipping via FEDEX to dubai (which reached me in 3 days btw).
- The system isn't overly loud on startup. There is a base and it sounds so much better than OEM.
- Strangely I am getting more gas mileage and 3rd and 4th gear pulls with max boost doesn't burn as much gas when compared to OEM system. (I love this btw).
- You can now hear the turbo whistle when you rev the car in idle.
- Gear changes are more audible. (I haven't heard it from the outside but people tell me it sounds very nice)
- The rear of the car looks very very aggressive. Other drivers check it out. (an aston martin DBS was following me the other day
) The tubing makes it look like something is going on down there.
-The stainless steel straps gives a nice contrast to the black cans and tubing which is a very nice look.
- THIS IS THE BEST PART. The turbo makes a very very prominent jet sound when doing 3rd and 4th gear pulls. Exactly like the 997.2 turbo S.
CONS:
- There is drone. This is because I went with the 3.0 system and has the 70mm internals. John@speedtech told me that the 2.5 system is the no drone option.
[3 months later, there is no Drone, or maybe i got used to it

- The drone on the 3.0 system isn't that bad though.
Overall, i am happy with this system. It is a light, priced much lower than other systems and has a nice and audible sound.

It's nice to hear from you...I'm glad it made it there OK! The ceramic black coating looks great with your car.
BTW - the 3.0 has 76mm internals (full 3"), not 70mm...that way it can become a full 3" system with our 3" dual tips, should you ever choose to go that route. Alternatively, you can go to our 2.5 muffler for a 2.5 quiet version...
