Sounds great. Suprised to hear how loud the turbos are with the ep1. Thought that was only like that for the ep2. Can't wait to get mine.

 

In person is even better!!! Ep1 is a loud exhaust too

I got the EP1, I think it will be loud enough.

 

It's loud enough... you want you car to sound like a Porsche no like the FedEx diesel truck....

 

Compared to a Cargraphic loud, the ep1 almost sounds stock. In a parking garage you should be able to set off car alarms with a loud exhaust - on the street it will be fine. The ep1 doesn't even sound closer to what one would consider "loud". All personal preference of course, but the ep1 sounds like it would pass TUV, putting it in the same category as many other TUV certifiable exhausts.

2-Did you ever hear it in person? I hear cargraphic in person and I didn't like it at all.... It makes the 997TT sound like a caterpillar

3- I had 3 other exhausts in my car and one of them was Catless. EP1 is the loudest exhaust I had in my car.

The EP1 isn't the loudest exhaust but the emphasis is on tone and not on just being loud.
Anything can be loud but when it lacks character then what's the use for it? People will turn their head and wonder that's the noise and they'll have no clue it's a Porsche.

Once my car is making turbo boost ( i watch the gauge on the dashboard ) the turbo whistling sound begins. The higher the boost the louder the whistle is just amazing...

 

Exactly. I think this is what some guys are forgeting with the cargraphic. Aside the fact it sounds like a sick masey furgeson tractor at low rpms even if it does thrill the driver blasting through a tunnel on the odd occassion that's all short lived anyway because anywhere sub 3000rpms in 6th you get droned out of the cabin. Same thing if you are cruising around town. So what good is it outside of a quick blat? I mean you can hardly use the car to take your wife, girlfriend or passengers on a nice country or expressway run without them reaching for the panadol and a sick bag. It'd be terrible imo, ...far too self indulgent. If some guys like living with that crap then good luck with it i say. This is a car that was designed to be driven in all situations and not just totally solo either.

 

Hardly the case. Drove a car with a Fabspeed and it sounded worse at low rpm. I think you get more sound, you can get more drone. Just that simple. The Cargraphic has a deep solid tone. Very quiet idle and nice deep tone on throttle blips. Some rumble below 3k, but your car still won't be as loud as a stock gtr ;-)

 

No offense but coming from someone who says the GMG is not loud im not sure how much credence i should give you on that particular account. The CG i heard was a Massey Furgeson and an obvious droning one at that...no question. And i wasn't the only one saying that at the time either. But hey if you like it and think it's great then why arent you buying it?...or the GMG? I see airjoe wants to see the tail end of his so maybe do a deal on that.

 

When did I say gmg wasn't loud? Gmg told me their exhaust was not that loud and did not drone, but I did not hear it.

See you just posted on the thread indicating otherwise but like airjoe who replied it was too loud with the top down I also interpreted your previous post as it wasnt that loud as well. It seemd to me by the way you were talking that you'd heard it in person....

 

Gotta say, what are you talking about. I asked HIM if it wasn't that loud. "Web advice"? Where does that come from? I just went there -in person.
