everyday drivability and reliability?

How is the everyday drivability and reliability on the 911 turbos? I will be purchasing a new 991 turbo, but since no one has them yet, I thought I would ask here. This will be my first Porsche and am excited to proceed.

All i can tell you bro is that they're simply great cars to drive daily, and very reliable with a great build quality, in other words they're heavy duty cars! i drive mine everyday to work and around and everywhere, i even did a road trip in it as well, you will not regret buying it! all you gotta do is get it serviced on time!

Buying the first of any series will have its teething problems. They are likely to be minor given Porsches pedigree, and covered by warranty. Check the general feedback of the 991 Carrera page for a feel.

My 2012 997 Turbo S was my first Porsche as well. I use it as a daily driver (1000+ miles per month), and couldn't be happier.

My 2007 997tt has been one of the most reliable cars i have ever had . I have had absolutely zero issues with it even with all the modifications done to it . The car has 16K miles on it and is not my daily driver .

Past performance is a good predictor...but you are getting a new issue. My 2009 997.1 manual w/ sports chrono is awesome. Use her everyday - back and forth from Westchester in to NYC and on the weekends - including shuttling kids/soccerballs/softball stuff...there is a huge cool factor taking all that stuff out of the frunk!

I bot her in 2012 with 17k miles - I've tagged 10k miles in about 10 months - I just can't get enough. Not one visit my tech guy except for new spark plugs/oil. Tracked about 3 times and driven they way she was designed to be driven...hard but sensible.

Enjoy...and please report back with pix/opinions of the new ride!

What an awesome and inspirational post!

You are fortunate to be able to use the car as designed.

Daily drove mine for almost a year.. 10k miles... two car seats in the back and all. I just recently bought an older S4 to take over some of the duties, but there is absolutely no reason you can't drive it daily. The main reason I picked one up... such a versatile car.
