Rear Seat delete

I am thinking about removing the rear Seats. I saw that Suncoast has a rear Seats delete Kit not sure If it's really needed or just remove? If anyone has pics or feedback feel free...

It's not needed, I think it makes everything look cleaner.

You don't need any kit... it takes 5 seconds to remove the top and the bottom part....

I'm just curious, why would you wanna do that?

It left some unsightly holes after removing the latching hardware from the sides when I did it. I had no idea a kit existed to clean that up...thanks for the info!!

I actually just did this last week. Was already at the dealership, and they pulled them out in less than five min. 20.2 lbs. Few days later took out the rear floor mats, but yet to weigh them. Let's guess 1 lb each, so 22 total from the mid/rear of the car.

Already had a nobody-ever-sits-in-the-rear-seats policy, so this was a no brainer. I still need to remove the extra bolt between the rear seats, which I saw done on another car that made it look cleaner. Here's a pick as it currently looks, before removing the extra bolt.

I'll have to check out the 'kit' to see what it's claiming...curious.

And hey, if I ever want to make the car weigh more I can always add them back in.

here's mine:

I left the covers for the seat belt latches.

There are some small holes where the lower seatbelt mount goes, but virtually un-noticeable.

Fugazi thanks for the kind words. I really like how it turned out as well. And completely reversible!

Leo, I believe there was a recent listing for red seat belts for sale (but not sure who listed them). FYI just in case.

Have been thinking about doing the exact same thing since my ride in a GT3.

Question? Did the cabin noise increase with the seat removal, holes, etc.?

Really hard to tell. Might have gone up an unmeasurable amount if anything, but not sure. If your thinking of trying it out, do it....free and reversible.
