Not to harsh to anybody, but UGR built an R build in 6 weeks. I wonder what takes so long? This particular build should not take more than a week.

 

What are you plans for October 1?

 

Switzer actually quoted me 4 weeks. I said 6 because I know stuff comes up. My friend and neighbor (Liquid Assets) has a Gallardo that is currently at UGR getting a stage R build. They are now running on 14 weeks with his car. I'm hoping for it to be done by August 23 because I will be flying out to Ohio for the weekend. I'm going to check out the Switzer shop and hopefully take my car out for a spin.

 

Shift Sector has a Air Strip attack half mile roll race event in Oct/Nov. Dates are not posted yet, just says it will be sometime in during those two months on there website. Also Sema is the first week of November and there will be a lot of GTR's in town. Last year they had a national GTR meet here. I'm looking forward to hooking up some GO PRO's and doing some runs.

 

She has arrived at Switzer and the transformation has begun!

 

Update: Changing tires from Michelin Super Sport to Toyo R888. Tires are ordered and on there way to Switzer now!

Thanks TeeRock! I didn't think the Super Sports would hold the power of this kit so I had to make the change. No reason to have ton of power if you can't hook.

I know it won't be me. George's UGR gallardo will make 1400whp and he is E-gear too. He said he will run a 3.6 sec 60-130. Are you still working on your GTR or is AMS going to build that CLS you just bought? I think I would need Scott's(Diveextreme) E-1K 997tt to keep up with you guys. Remember I'm only going to be making 800's to the wheels on a stock motor. Were going to have some fast cars in Vegas though. Hope you make it to the next airstrip event with me and George.

 

From the sound of things, Don will have a stupid fast GTR too. I think he is up to something... lol

Yeah I guess we have to wait and see ;-)

And no bro the CLS63 will just get basic stuff...Lowered, wheels, DP and Tune (AMS).

The GTR trans will be at sheps by this coming tuesday and when he sends it back we will put it back in the GTR and retune. Broke 4th gear on the built trans on the dyno. I will also be pulling the motor out next weekend to get everything coated, new lines put on and just go over everything in there since I seen the work Dana has done and it hasnt been good. So when I put it up for sale I want to make sure it is perfect for the new owner.

I will probably get into a TTG SL or a bigger/faster boat. hahaha!! Cant wait to see you 997 and Georges TTG.

 

Am I reading this correctly? Your planning for 800WHP on stock internals? I thought that was well above the "safe zone" for stock internals?
