Stock Muffler Modification

I'm still waiting on delivery of my 07 TT, but as usual I'm already planning the mods. I've read about oem muffler modifications on the 996 tt which allow it to breath and sound like an aftermarket system, but haven't seen anything mentioned about the 997. Has anyone successfully modded their stock mufflers, and if so how? If nobody has tried it I may give it a shot after I drive my car in stock form for a bit. I would rather the EP1, but with $5k on the table it may be worth doing some work on the stocker.

P.S. I'm not talking about hole sawing through the exhaust tips like some people do, I mean cutting the muffler open and actually cleaning up the inside.

I don't know for sure. But many of the M3 guys would shoot water from a hose into the tail pipe then take it for a rip and burn the internals out? I am not pulling your leg.

Haha, that's funny. I've been on forums for a long time and that's a new one for me.

It's true. Here is the link.... And yes... I tried it and my M3 is louder compared to others. :-)

PBK, porsche by ken. He mods the stock unit. Google him.
Ruf also extensively modifies the stock core, but not cheap.
I wouldn't advocate running a garden hose into a turbo muffler, water in the cats or turbo ain't good.
