The right tires.

My car is 2007 911 997. I have hre wheels 20x9 and 20x12. They came with 2 245 30 20 pirelli and 1 325 25 20 dunlop. I need one more tire. I tried to purchase one for michelin But the forum said the porsche very sensitive with the tires. Dunlop and pirelli have been discontinued. Now only Michelin makes all 245 and 325 for $2000. I don't want to spend more money on the tires, instead all I ready have 3 tires all ready.

In addition, will 235 30 20 and 305 25 20, maximize performance on my car, because they are currently offering very good deals now on e-bay!

Basically, I just need one more tire in-order to get the maximum performance out of my sports car!!

Any suggestions on solving this difficult matter will be greatly appreciated!!

It is bad to mix tires front to rear. It is terrible to mix tires on the same axle. Not what you wanted to hear but my .02 cents worth. Maybe you can find a couple of used Pirellis.

After spending 3800 euros with 295 pirelli pzero , one of my tire blow off , so I had to buy another one , I asked at pirelli in italy and they sell only a pair , I mean 2 or 4 , so I bought michelins because they cost less , but after 2 months I can tell you that pirellis have more grip . Also I have heard a lot of good thing about toyoR888 so why not toyo r888 ?

It's a really, really bad idea to mix brands of tires in any configuration. That's a good way to end up in a ditch. It's also a bad idea to even replace two worn tires with new ones on one axle while keeping the old ones on the other. You will definitely notice the difference while doing "spirited" driving and the track is definitely a no-go. But if you just use the car to toodle around town you can probably get away with it. Also, that e-bay thing.......unless they are coming from a known distributor you sure as heck don't want some crappy knockoff that was manufactured and came from who-knows-where. You now have a special car; treat it accordingly. Best,

This is just personal opinion, but I have never been comfortable with anything other than having all four tires match. If it were me, I would buy four new tires and sell the other three. I'll bet there is someone out there wishing they could buy one used dunlop or two pirelli's to match the tires already on their vehicles. Just my .02.

I tried mixing between front and rear on a bmw 3-series, very bad idea, I ended up buying 4 new tires.

As many ppl already said, its a bad bad idea, sell the tires and get 4 new OR buy at least a new pair.

The 4wd system is apperantly sensitive on our cars and do you really want to risk replacing transfercase and front differential (its one non-serviceable unit and not cheap)?

Being cheap sometimes ends up being very expensive...
