GIAC tune results
GIAC tune results
I normally post on rennlist but thought folks here might be interested in seeing some numbers after getting a GIAC tune. The car is totally stock except for the tune. I have the stock, performance, and race gas tune. The numbers below are from the race tune running 110 unleaded. The car is a beast on this tune. I'll be adding exhaust soon and will run the numbers again with stock tune and exhaust to see what that does. For reference, I was able to run an 11.3 at 121.8 on pump gas with the performance tune, and I usually run an 11.7-11.8 at 119 on the stock tune. I have no idea what the dyno numbers are, however I'm very happy with the real world results. Wright Motorsport in Cincinnati installed the tune.
Thanks guys, btw I received a few pm's asking questions but since my post count is below 15 I couldn't reply. So, here's the info. The car wasn't dyno'd by Wright MotorSport as far as I know. The tune cost $3200. GIAC provides an ODB cable to switch between the tunes. The race tune is 110 unleaded.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering if you could provide any info about the tiptronic software mod? Does it just change the mapping of when the car shifts, or is there more to it than that? I wasn't able to find much on the webpage. Cheers!

I just don't think I can stomach that kind of money outlay for a tune. I spent an entire evening on a dyno with a very well known Evo tuner for $600. I understand some markup for the Porsche Tax, but $3,200 is absurd.
If you want the best, you have to pay. Well worth it.

Lol hmm are u an employee or getting a kickback from them? Please tell us how it is determined that that's the best? All a tune is, is a software program hell for all you know it's generic and they just put the company stamp on it lol there's probably one programmer somewhere playing Dungeons & Dragons somewhere and wrote a tune during his xbox break!

Neither and resent the implication.
