997 turbo prices?

Looking to buy in the next 5 to 6 months. What are the real world prices for a 07-08 with sport chrono with say 40k miles.. ? I have seen a few in the 60k range? Are these cars to avoid? What did u pay for your recent 997 TT? Just trying to establish a baseline.

Thanks

I have a 07 tt that at 43k CPO that I wouldnt take less than 68 for. I am not selling but if one was to get me in a corner and I had to sell that is the lowest I would go. Its in really good condition so I think anything less than 65 from a private and you are getting a car with a history. And most likely at 65k you are going to have some bumps.
70K+ at a dealer with a CPO. Honestly IMHO a TT at 40-50k is the best one to get, you know its been driven so you dont have the issues with a garage queen, the turbos need to spool. It also should have just gotten its plugs etc changed.
And you dont have super high mileage edition which depending on options you could have some expensive repairs.

So 65k to 73k would be a good baseline price range... Besides the plugs you mentioned is there anything else maintenance wise it should have done before buying? Do I need to watch out for the engine bearing seal (if I have the correct issue)?

No engine bearing seal issue with the Metzler engine used in the Turbos. I would take a well maintained car, you know oil, etc. As a great buy in that range.
I highly recommend you try the Tip and 6spd. I think in the end you will go with the faster tip

Welcome to the DNN990HD club! I installed mine a few months ago - world of difference over PCM.

All the info posted is good gouge, I bought my 07' two years ago for 69k with 42k miles….. i also test drove 5 different turbos from 08's with 5k miles to a '07 with 50k miles……the higher mile cars felt better to drive and even pulled harder. I have now 49k miles on my car and wouldn't let it go for less than 65k…..that being said i'm keeping it forever and just adding to the stable

Hey! Welcome and good luck - I have to saying - shopping/buying a 911 is probably one of the more fun things in life - enjoy!

I picked up a 2009 997.1 TT 6 speed sports chrono - 14k miles - CPO just about a year ago for $85k - thinking that should be $75-$78kk this year from the dealer?

Everyone is different - but make sure you go with the Sports Chrono as an option and I would certainly push the 6 speed - just so much fun. So what you are 3.5 versus 3.2 zero to 60 - we are NOT getting paid to race - just have fun!

One more thing - I bot the CPO, but looking back - I think it was prob $4k I wasted (that is the dealer price for CPO I recall). Just find a good independent shop - this site will have that info, and use him/her. The 3.6L 997s are just so rock solid you won't have any issues. My worst thus far was a intercooler tube that came loose. The dealer did it for free, but my indy guy told me would have been max 1 hour job. Again - knock on wood, but i've only read good things about these machines.

Also think about the escort detector/diffuser concealed install - may not be the best on the market, but certainly fits into the cabin very well and undetectable by visual inspection when turned off.

Thanks very much. Interesting that they were all fairly high mileage examples.

Not to thread jack too much, but could you post the most recent numbers for '10 pdk coupes? Thanks!

Heres one for $54,000 with 29k miles. Has some scratches on the bumpers and story about the VIN. Carfax is clean.
