I saw the owner assuring the mechanic that underground racing will ship them the parts needed, anyway I am pretty sure that the Russians tried to tune the car.

in Crete with the car in station was Teo from Exelixis, Alex from
Altechno (Moscow team which supports the car), his 2 mechanics who came from Moscow with him and me (owner of the car).

this engine made more than 100
mile pulls on full boost, and lots on low boost,
in extreme conditions.
its real 1850 crank hp @ dynojet.
Underground Racing R version 2 - is a great build,
best in the world for gallardo.
and for sure we continue to deal with them.
car was remapped because Dmitrov, where Unlim500+
usually goes is located 200m higher sea level,
and Crete is 0, also air is different.
we cant call UGR any time we need to remap
- they are busy guys )))
regarding the fuel.. it was C16, provided by Greek
organisators of event, its 100% absolutely ok.
you must realize that even stock gtr/lambo
will break if you push it 100% over the limits
every day on racing fuel.
Anyway, we have time till 31 dec 2013
to win the bet and for sure we wont stop
till the last day ))))
p.s. I want to give my respect to Greek side,
guys you made best event, and when we had problem
with the car it seemed that all Greece helped us ))

We just need the data. Megion's car is phenomenal, but he's got a TON of road data while there are some other cars with similar/more power that haven't shared similar data in the US. Immediately three 996 turbos come to mind, Tim941NYC, BBi's Project King Kong (these 2 are over 1200 WHP) and BlackHorseTurbo. I know that Tim is using a Motec and BBi is using a ProEFI, but no idea who tuned all 3 of those cars.
Problem is we don't have a lot of events like the Unlimited 500+ in the USA where timing equipment and road space can test 1/4 mile & mile performance (trap speed & ET)

All Porsche community, who likes drag racing, need to be more confident, do not worry about problems and go for best results.
It's very funny also that no one Porsche did 8 sec! With such resources that have USA tuners it should be long time ago, like GTR community did.
But if you don't mind i ll do it next year, i will drink a lot of vodka and take bear with me for run, okay?


Sergey congrats on another AWESOME performance from everyone at AMS/ALPHA performance! Your car continues to do great things.

























Side note:
To those commenting on the reliability of the GT-R. Jury's ALPHA 12 in particular was built here at AMS and shipped over to him over a year ago. in that time Jury has had relatively zero reliability issues. This recent driveshaft breakages was actually the stock piece breaking. At the time there wasn't an upgrade option. Jury was not only back up and running at the event later that night but he even participated in some street "testing" lol.
In addition to countless highway runs as seen on youtube on the dragtimes channel he has also put down over 50 standing mile pulls at the moscow Unlim Events:

Whaaat? Guys, you have "Mexico" roads where you can go up to 200 mph and huge amount of drag strips, wish we had same...

Everything's def come a LONG way with reliability & cost, and it's really a testament to Porsche (which were more designed for track racing) that people are taking the Turbo/GT2 into the 10s with some easy bolt-on mods. 10 years ago, I don't think anybody would've expected 1,000 WHP road cars to be reliable and daily drivable.
PS -- MegioN, think I asked in your build thread but is your car running the OEM AWD setup, or has it been upgraded?
