Dyno issues, any clues on how to fix?
Hi,
Tried to get a baseline today before starting any modifications of the turbo. But the PSM/PTM management system kept interfering (I think) and made the car cut power which made the Dyno stop measuring.
We tried taking brake fuse out and PSM fuses out, but it didn't help.
It was a 4wd dyno but the front and rear axles where not connected so I assume the rear was running at higher speed than front and my guess is that this causes the PSM system to try to correct...
Any guidance on how to Dyno a 4wd Porsche those days?

If the front and rear rollers are not connected, you MUST remove the front drive-shaft if it's a 997.1 Turbo, or you will almost definitely cause damage to the front differential.
If it's a 997.2 Turbo, you MUST use an AWD dyno where the front and rear rollers ARE connected.

ok thanks, hopefully we didn't cause damage since we failed repeatedly. I think I will skip this then, since the thought of removing the front diff etc just gives me headache...
