Some changes b/w '08 and '09, notably PCM 3.0....see what else is out there on an '09 and just make sure you buy what YOU want, all relevant options, etc.

Very happy I have an '09, though nothing bad about an '08 either in good condition...and yes, CPO if you can wrangle it.

Hey Thanks. This is exactly what I need to know. Please feel free to elaborate on any other benefits of purchasing a 2009+ over the 2008. I don't want to have buyers regret. For example how did the PCM change? I am a neophyte with the older model 911's I don't want to make a mistake.

Thanks a lot you are right. Been doing a lot of research.. It is going to cost me more but I would rather have the options starting in 2010. You have a nice looking girl in your garage.

Depends what you can afford. The '10 is a HUGE difference in price.

I searched long for an '09, but bought an '08. The CPM is different and nice to have, but it shouldn't be a deal killer.

Tons of turbo options make the car more or less desirable. 6speed cars are harder to find. Sport chrono gives you turbo overboost from the factory. Locking differential is an expensive aftermarket upgrade. Sport adaptive seats are nice. Color is the most personal choice and some colors are very hard to come by. Many cars are black, it was a compromise for me.

Good luck!
