Check engine oil level light on!!!

Does anyone know why that the oil light turns on all the time? Like it pops up every 2-3 hundreds km since last service....the car is 2011 911 turbo s. i dunno if its caused by the service or the exhaust because I basically did it at the same time...the light will go off after i run the check on onboard computer and the oil level is full..
The technician in dealership couldnt tell whats wrong and told me its normal because its a turbo...and its old...i was like wtf it want me to check my oil level every 200km and u called that normal..
Although its not a big problem but its just so annoying and i have bad ocd..
Any thot will be appreciated!! Thank you!

Update on the warning light.

The technicians inspected my car with their fancy PIWIS and they found fault code U0423 in DME(ECU) which is Invalid Data Received From Instrument Panel Control Module. They found update for ECU so they just updated it. They also updated my PDK software and performed torque loss adaptation(I don't know what that is). My service advisor said he couldn't guarantee it was the solution. So I will drive around in town everyday to see it will ever come up again. I'm quite curious what are the updates about. I will keep you guys posted..

This happens on my 2010 tt somewhat randomly but on average I get the check oil message once a week and oil level is always fine when measured(my car hasn't burned ANY oil over the past 8k miles unlike my previous '07). Some had thought that the oil might be on the cusp of being over-filled and this was causing the message to come on from time to time but it's never measured as overfilled.

I just had my car in for service yesterday and mentioned it to my service advisor. When I picked up the car he told me that the tech happened to see the check oil warning come on so he submitted some kind of technical request to Porsche to see what the issue might be. FWIW, he didn't think it was normal. I'll post back here if I hear anything back.

Must be a problem with the 997.2 - never seen it happen on my 997.1 nor have I seen any one report a problem. They do have different oiling systems with the 997.1 being a true dry sump system. I'd ask your service guy to explain why "old" has anything to do with it.

Never seen that and it's definitely not normal. It could be that the oil level sensor has or is going bad. Would love to hear the reason once you figure it out.

Good luck.

I had this on my 997.2 TT. During previous oil service (before I got the car), the shop had overfilled the oil because when I drained the oil, I got way more oil than it should have. I believe the usual oil change is about 7.5 quart; I got 8.5 or 9 quarts (waited a while till the oil draining is really tiny). The oil level never shows overfill but would give check oil level error once in a while. When I put 7.25quart, the oil level shows middle bar; so I kept adding a little by little till full and its about 7.5 or so..

So it just shows how some shops may not have the time to wait for the oil to drain real well and not realized they overfilled it.
