Fastest 997.2 setup?

Gents,

I'm a bit out of the loop. What is the fastest 997.2 PDK setup out there right now? What does that setup consist of, and how much does it cost? Has there been any PDK and/or 3.8 engine failures that we know of on modified cars?

I think Champion has the fastest car right now in a PDK. Right now it isn't a power issue as much as a trans strength issue.

about 700 -725hp with racegas , champion motorsport has the quickest claimed 997.2 stock turbo records , techart has a 700hp kit and I have seen some 997.2 turbos with claimed 725hp from protomotive in ebay (claimed by owners) . So nothing serious until now.

Champion has the fastest setup. Runs high 9's at 135. My buddy liquid assets messaged Tom about building a .2 car. Fueling, engine, and tranny were the hold ups, but it is possible. Just need a lot of $$$ to do it. Over a $100,000

Right now the main hurdle would be fueling. We have a few stock turbo cars that have run 6.7 60-130, and with 68mm VTG's we have got down to 6.4 on pump gas. But the limiting factor is the fuel system (before the PDK or internals).

This seems to be a reoccurring issue with modded Direct Injection cars. The BMW N54 (in the 135/335/1 Series M) has been out since 2007, is hitting just over 700 WHP on a stock motor, but no one has figured out a legit fueling upgrade. Basic low pressure & in-line pump upgrades have helped, but people are dependent on using meth as a fueling bridge and personally I wouldn't run any motor on an aggressive tune hoping that the meth kit doesn't crap out on me and bake the internals.

It'll be interesting to see how the Corvette guys handle the DI on the LT1

Hi Scott,we never dynoed our turbo s but this is what she can do with only PROTOMOTIVE tune and exhaust:
