Sound Upgrade 2011 PCM w/o Bose Advice

I want to upgrade the sound quality in my 2011 GT2RS. It has the PCM without the Bose or XM radio and I DO NOT want to change the PCM. Amps & speakers only but no sub box. If any way possible I would like to integrate XM Radio. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Check my thread regarding the speaker upgrade. Not sure how the non-Bose amp is though, very few cars without it. I would use a Dension 500S and integrate an XM receiver. If you add an amp the mod gets tricky, although the non-Bose stereo may not use a MOST system, so perhaps it is easier. The Bose system has a fiber optic interface, so adding an amp requires a $600 interface. My advice, don't spend a fortune on speakers.

Duffy, I don't have any specific recommendation but I've been in a 911 where amps and speakers were changed - the quality and resolution blew me away and made me very sad to go back to my Turbo's Bose . I asked the installer at that time and he did say changing just amps and speakers while keeping stock PCM is doable.

Maybe ask on this forum or your local Porsche dealer for recommendation for Porsche specific audio-shop, and then they will tell you what could be done? If not Pennsylvania, I am sure New York must have some shops. Also, AWE Tuning, surely they must know someone? Hope this helps and good luck.

Ask for Rob. I was /am looking for a Sirius conversion to the XM factory stock radio on my 10' 997tt and even though they do not provide that, the guy seemed very attentive and orientative...
Just my .02 cents.
They might help you with what you are needing.
Merry Christmas!
