Squeaking Suspension

I'm having my 09 TT detailed tomorrow so today I took it to a car wash and used the pressure washer to wash the wheels, calipers and the wheel houses. Now the suspension is groaning and squeaking under any load. I assume I didn't send any more water into the suspension that a drive in a hard rain would but obviously I did something. Anyone have any advice or insight on this? Thx

I'm surprised, 74 views and no feedback. I can't be the only one that's experienced this. Drove the car again today and it sounds something between a groan, a squeak, and rattling marbles. Makes the noise anytime the suspension is loaded , no difference when the suspension is set on firm. I must have something to do with the bushings or suspension mounting points, but that's a wild-*** guess.

i would take it to your local dealer and let them take a look. You may time it with your annual service, where they should look at everything anyway.

Never use a power washer on your car. You would be surprised how much water you can drive into tight places. I can only assume you inadvertently put water somewhere not good.

Do you have aftermarket (AM) supensions? What is the mileage on the car?

Squeaks front the front suspension area? I had to change my top mounts as they were badly worn out (possibly compounded by the fact that i have AM suspension). They did squeak and give noticeable sounds under load.

Pop your hood, remove the top covers (battery covers and the ones on the side) and expose the strut towers. Keeping your head close to the tower, turn your steering wheel clockwise and counter clockwise and listen for sounds from both struts. A friend will need to listen from the passenger side. If the mount is worn out, you will also notice excessive play. This causes squeaking and a knocking sound at steering lock on either side.

If the sound is from the rear (rattling marbles), it could be the metal plate under the subwoofer is loose. Did you have work done in the area (access ECU, PASM wire etc?)

Both these cases are independent of the car wash scenario buddy, just trying to help

Thanks for the advice. I'm assuming it relates to the pressure wash, but I could be wrong. I'll take it to the dealer to see whats up, I'll post the findings

I don't comment unless I have a pretty good idea on a resolution that was why I viewed and did not comment. The only thing I can think of is the pressure washer displaced some grease or lube and it needs to be re-greased? Just a guess
