new Austrian fuel consumption tax regulation 2014
new Austrian fuel consumption tax regulation 2014
Just to let you know how lucky you guys are living in the US,
i'd like to inform you about the new NOVA (fuel consumption tax) regulation
that will apply on 1.3.2014.
(beside the fact that we have to pay $8,75 per gallon 93oct fuel)
here's the formula:
(Gramm CO2 per km minus 90) / 5 = NOVA% on importprice
PLUS 20% nova-addition
so here's an example:
Let's import this new 991 GT3 from Germany:
HERE
289g per km CO2 minus 90 = 199 / 5 = 39,8%
118.000€ (netto-import) * 0,398 = 46.964€ * 1,20 = 56.356€ in taxes....
thats 76.685$
in total: 174.356€ = 237.251$
now try that with new Viper and 390g CO2/km
i'd like to know:
what would a similar car cost in the US?
and how much for a gallon fuel?
cheers,
Luke

Not more than that??! Here's the price in Finland:
<table class="features"><tbody><tr class="alternate"><td>CO2 289</td> <td nowrap="nowrap"> Car: €144 088</td> <td nowrap="nowrap"> Tax:€117 183,83</td> <td nowrap="nowrap"> Total:€261 271,83

OTH The Panamera E Hybrid costs just this much:

That's why I don't see too many American cars in Portugal
And besides de CO2 tax we also pay for engine displacement. Almost all american cars have HUGE engines.
Regarding gas prices... Don't put fuel in Italy
