I said I was leaning towards the lower mileage car. Not a done deal yet as I am still communicating with the seller on the higher mileage car. If it falls through and I am 100% certain I am going to pass on it, I will pass along the info. FYI...the car is not listed for sale anywhere that I know of. It is a private party listing and it is the neighbor of a friend.

My old 540i BMW has been in 2 accidents... one my fault where I was playboying it and hit black ice and shredded the front of the car quite badly... repaired for $4k in damages... has NOT SHOWN ON CAR FAX 4 years later

I was clobbered in a car park and the front was damaged quite badly ..... 6 months ago... still not on Car Fax

Get ALL OF the insurance claim damage report, pics and all... then see if it was bad accident or not

I know of MANY OTHER cars sold in NY, NJ and CT that have had Sandy damage and other accidents and have never shown on Car Fax or Autocheck

Buyer Beware and GL

If u trust the seller, then don't be concerned about the small collision. Good luck w whichever car you choose.
