You are correct. We just did a stock block car for TX2K that ran out of injector on E85 and ID1000's even with the fuel system, but with Alpha Turbos. We calculated his power to be around 850-900WHP, but had to turn it down for safety sake.

Every setup we have done thus far on E85 has had the BBI Fuel System even stock turbo. On stock turbos the 997 should be good with 1000cc's and stock pumps, but I am always for adding upgraded pumps as it gives some additional head room.

As I said I am up for it if you do But we can always save it for later if you want. I am always up for a trip to Phoenix!

Had APs on 3 different subarus at different power levels and on my 2010 335i as well. Love Cobb as a company, their AP, and their other hardware. Very happy theyve entered the 911TT world.

I am the lead calibrator. Our Porsche group is pretty small. Tim is quickly coming up to speed and he along with myself are training the tuners.

The 997.1 has two fuel pumps, so you don't need additional pumps like you do on the 996 unless you're going for big boy power (probably beyond 800 crank).

I figure 22-25% drivetrain loss on the 997. Therefore, I'd assume with 6 x 1000cc injectors in the 997, we could probably hit 775-800 crank with only an injector mod.

Thoughts, Mitch?

I may even be crazy enough to have those put in before you get here. LOL
darrin you need to confirm that the fuel lines on your 997 can handle the e85. most cars that aren't flex fuel cars have fuel lines that will deteriorate over time due to e85 and the rubber lines. you need teflon coated lines for ethanol

Quite a few ppl run e85 in their 997.1turbos, no one has reported any issues with fuel lines afaik.

I've been on E85 for a while, any many others have gone several years at this point on E85 with factory fuel lines. Nobody has had a problem that I've ever heard of.

Is it possible for them to know the car has had a tune prior to dealer visit? reflash will be evident and they can easily assume the car has been tuned specially if it has an aftermarket exhaust
