Longboarder's NoFlyZone 3-29-14 Airstrip Races
Haha yeah two losses but there really weren't a lot of fast cars at this event. Makes it nice as a lot of cars are in the 500-700 HP range so it makes it very competative.
Thanks Ken. Your car is too beautiful to start removing stuff. Maybe lighter wheels and some r888's to help with unsprung weight and traction improvement!
Cool thanks bro!
Thanks yeah the Supra was awesome when it finally found a tall gear. Owner said he put in 650 wheel mode for the hit (2nd gear) and also for 3rd gear, but for 4th and 5th gears he turned up to 880 wheel and just flew by me!
The owner of the white M5 said it was "tuned" by ECS and makes 700 wheel, which would be the highest HP F10 M5 on the planet.
For these events in the desert where the runway blacktop is over 120+ degrees traction is not an issue. I'm doing another one of these in 3 weeks at the Coalinga airstrip for Shift Sector. Should be hot there too. But for doing vBox runs at night or drag races, yeah the Michelin PSS just can't cut it.
Thx bro - love your car.
Terry Burger's Blue M5 is at 630 wheel on the Specialty Z dynojet so it's no slouch. And the dark grey M3 trapped over 130 mph at Famoso dragstrip when I was there, so these cars are fasssst. But just no match for a modded 911TT.
lol. M5 still a beautiful, comfortable and fast car and dealers are blowing them out pretty cheap from what i understand.
I found out why you couldn't make the event - congrats Austin! Yeah it ran perfect my friend. Thanks for everything.
Adam, what a GREAT video again!!!!
Notice my race was #4, and for all out there, look at Adam's Willow video and compare how much quicker he is now!!!!!!!!!!!
Great improvement, i'm going to have to do something else to keep ahead. Lightening???
Thanks again for your superb editing Adam.

Awesome videos. You can really see how much faster your car is now the way you pull away from the blue M5. That car is also very fast - you left the white M5 (presumably closer to stock) for dead. That Supra must have one big honkin turbo...when it kicked in it looked like it might fly away.
But I'm most impressed by your car, I didn't think they'd be able to make a pdk car so quick. Congrats and enjoy!

Very nice video editing my man including the different camera angles. I guess you've reached about the bolt on limit - unless you're going to convert to E85. I'm curious about where you think you are HP wise at the crank now. Obviously many others think they are producing a lot more than they really are.

Converting to E85 would be a tall order on the 997.2 chassis due to the direct injection system on the car. We're already taxing the fuel system as it is. To increase the fuel supply the necessary amount to sustain E85 isn't really an option. Not to mention, the power he is making on race fuel will be similar to what he might see on E85, if it were an option on this platform.
Awesome video as always Adam!! I had a really great time hanging out with you guys for the day, I'm glad I made the drive up there for the event!
You and Ken were definitely setting the bar out there! It was HYSTERICAL to see all those dudes placing bets on Ken's car towards the end of the day. I think the guy with that blown 427 Camaro cost his friends a bit of money when Ken mopped him up!

That 427 YSi camaro was quick off the hit. Unfortunately my camera battery died on that run so here's how it went: we remained fairly even with him ahead by about 10 feet or so until about 120 mph where I pulled on him hard and probably had a 2 car lead at the finish. It could have been worse for him as I had given a ride to some random dude who was stoked on my car...and he weighed like 300 pounds lol! I'm sure Ken put like 5 cars on him.
Great video! The 997.2 platform is proving to be a true force to be reckoned with, keep up the kick *** work and thanks for providing all of us with these awesome videos. Wish this event was closer so I could attend.

Yes, that was a fun run.
One of the spectators came to me while we were waiting in the line and said "I just want you to know that I have $20 riding on your race and that the Camaro will beat you" another spectator said "I'll bet $100 that the Porsche beats the Camaro"
That kind of had me worried!! I let the Camaro have the jump at the cones but passed him before I shifted to 3rd and probably beat him by at least 10 cars!!!!! At least the spectator who lost waved goodbye to me when I left for the day!! There is always a bunch of nice guys, both spectators and drivers at these events!
