Real Mods for the 997.2TT

Well, I been back and foward with some aftermarket mods and some of them did nothing on the car (dyno test it)

Right now I have Fabspeed Exhaust (race cats) IPD Plenum and COBB Tune

What else did you guys have on your .2 that make more power???

Intercoolers will let you run a more aggressive boost curve while being able to effectively reduce IATs... The thing is you want a healthy balance between IAT suppression & low pressure drops. A plenum upgrade should also yield some power.

I know that the BBi 997.2 featured on Tuned had basically everything, including a Y-Pipe upgrade (in addition to a long list of suspension mods)

The mentioned on their FB & Instagram that the car is being retuned with COBB

Yes nice vid... Just to give a BBi some credit, on the week that Mitch (COBB) was here doing the R&D for his Tune my friends Turbo S lost some whp with the aftermarket cat back that the car have the day of the tune, Mitch call BBi and the next day the car have their amazing exhaust installed, car gain around 20whp

Yes, why not? That's why I start the thread, to see what my fellow members did on there cars that make "real power" not "better sound" or "good looks"

So in your opinion Champion Turbos and Intercoolers it's the only mods worth buying?
Any dyno sheets of this?

It's 700HP the top for the .2's then?

I am no expert bro I dont even own a 997.2 turbo just a cayenne turbo From my experience things like plenum do t really work , making air faster doesnt mean more air . Upgrading turbochargers and intercoolers yes . Champion motorsport is the only one in here will real 600 whp 997.2 result . 700 hp is the maximum you can go with pdk and dfi pump . I suggest to do that . Than after you archive 700 hp you can remap the tcu and decrease some weight and of course enjoy the car. Everyone , like me and you spend bags of money tuning them only obsesed with project and after the project is finished we sell the car If you want to go really really big than BBI has build a 800 hp 997.2 turbo with build engine and pdk and I think they can go even higher .

Ok, I just want to see evidence (like I did in other threads) that the mods works... I Install IPD plenum and show a dyno sheet that proof the 30hp & 35tq gains on my car, Mitch (COBB) tune the car and I post the dyno sheet that proof the +50whp (on top other tune).

Turbos are no brainer because it's more air, but the IC's alone? Any proof of gains on this?

Just search the champion motorsport dyno .
They archived 9.8 (600whp ) on stock turbos with upgrated IC , plenum , exhaust and tune.
Maybe they upgrade even vtg turbocharger wheel

Yes I saw all of Champion site, I just want to see what the mods alone do (all brands not only champion) with dyno sheets or vbox data.

And it will be better if it is from a third party

I got a better idea, save your money, sell your car and buy a 991TT.

You already have good ic's, but if you upgrade IC's only and dyno it would be great to see if it helps!

IC's has been a touchy subject here, usually tuners has cars dyno'd with new tune, tune ic's and new turbo's (intake etc etc). So I dont think anyone knows if it helps to upgrade the IC's on a 997.2 with stock vtg's.
