Help, what is this 997 Turbo worth?
So I'm looking at a 997 Turbo a local dealer friend of mine has for sale.
It's a 2008 911 Turbo with a 700HP Champion kit on it and a $162K window sticker. Miles are 7,300. It's in mint condition.
I rarely keep cars more than 2-3 years, and so I'm concerned with purchase price and resale price. With a cursory look, it appears that the 977 turbos are depreciating at around a $8-10K rate per year, does that sound right?
Anyhow, I'd really appreciate some input. What would be a good purchase price, if I only intend to keep it a few years?
Here are the mods listed:

What is the asking price? The car is a beast and when purchased new with all the CMS upgrades this was a $200K+ vehicle!!!! Not to mention....the milage...or should I say what milage!
I believe they are asking right around $100k, my price would be a bit less than that.
$85k as the car is still an 08 and typically there is only a 10% return on whatever is paid for accessories. At the end of the day it all comes down to economics and that's what "you" would pay for the car
fair enough.. and where do you think the value will be in 2 to 3 years, provided that I keep it in excellent condition and only add about 5K miles per year.
With the depreciation of these cars, my estimate would be $65-70k but I'm far from an expert I'm just a car guy like the rest of us that usually goes through cars every 2-3 yrs. I just don't see paying $100k for an 08 no matter what's done to it. The car is still 7yrs old and since you know your not keeping it as a family heirloom don't overpay just because.

Champion wheels too. That car is insanely equipped. WITHOUT the Champion kit, car should be worth about 90k. The kit is 20k worth of stuff plus labor. Hard to get value from the kit in the future. Under 100k is a fair price, but you are paying the premium for the options and the mileage, which not everyone wants to pay for. Keep in mind that a 10 would cost the same money with new pcm, etc.
Read my thread comparing a .1 to a .2. Here you get hp, but not the improvements.

There are a lot better options than that car. If you want to stay in a .1 for mods you can get an 09 for 85-90 and have 10-15 to spend on the mods you like.
So unless its modded perfectly to your specs, Pass.
. I am right there with Redwine on pricing and guesstimate $85k would be fair given the mileage, specs, and upgrades. I am no 997 market expert but I do expect the 997.1t values to flatline in 3 years given the pattern 996tt's have displayed...with the 996's values stabilizing the value of the 997's
i believe this was one of the members car on here, he had some idling or ecu issues, if I were you, ill try to get in contact with him to see why he sold so fast and if all the issues were cleared...
I agree with the $85k price. The car has some great mods, but when you plan to sell the car, the mods could be a detriment. Most buyers are looking for low mileage un-modded cars, and they are suspicious of highly modded cars. Paying $85 and enjoying the enhanced performance will be a thrill, but don't expect to get top dollar when you sell.
I'm not an expert on pricing either but the high 80's seems about right if you really like the way the car is equipped (I certainly do). Regardless of price I'd like to know how this beast performs, much better that a 997.2 TTS I assume....
