For those interested in a Titanium exhaust, SpeedTech has developed a Full Titanium 3.0 X-Pipe with Titanium tips for the 997TT.
The cat back version of this system will bolt up to ANY existing SpeedTech X-Pipe or X-cellerator system.
Our new Ti XP system can be ordered as a cat back for existing customers or for new customers with our stainless steel 200 cpi HJS cats or stainless steel bypass pipes. An additional option is as a full titanium system with 100% Titanium cat bypass pipes. Pictured below is a full Titanium X-Pipe we completed today for a 996TT, the 997TT gets the same X-Pipe pictured with Dual Titanium tips.
John, what's the weight savings of the cat back Ti system versus the normal stainless steel? And do I dare ask what the price uptick is on the Ti systems? I know, I know... because I have to ask I can't afford one, but I'm curious anyway.

I will have to do some weighing and will confirm, but I would guess about 12 lbs. Savings for the XP and tips over stainless. On the 997TT with HJS cats, the cats remain stainless, as the HJS housings are stainless and you can not weld Ti to stainless. The cat back Titanium XP and Ti tips with HJS cats would cost roughly 1.5X the full stainless XP w/ HJS system price

Here's a new Speedtech 997.1TT 3.0 catless video posted on YOUTUBE by a new customer. Thanks to Jack L. for taking the time. These full 3" catless systems are aggressive! Opt for cats or even a 2.5 and they are a whole different animal, but anyhow, the video has some very good footage showing the system laid out in it's arrival condition and then a clean, proper, bumper off installation view. Jack's shop did a really nice job on the install and it appears they had fun after the install, as well!

Concerning my thoughts on the Precision Porsche TA replica body kit, it is great! The shop that installed it works on many exotics and very rear cars (They had 1 of 6 Jaguar XJ220R). I specifically asked him what he thought of the quality and if he has done any real TechArt body kits before. He informed me that he has done a couple and the quality of them are the same & he was very impressed with the Precision quality. He has to do a small amount of sanding and smoothening, but specifically told me that it is no different from any other, "name brand" kit.
I absolutely love this package, quality and it well....looks gorgeous and out right mean! If I ever sold & bought another 997 I would HAVE to have this kit & would feel incomplete with out it.
We just fabricated and shipped two 997.2TT 3.0 catless race X-Pipes with OEM tip outlets this week. Two more are in process with 3.0 dual tips and will be shipping by the end of the week...
