Thanks for the prompt response John. I can't seem to send private messages, yet that is. Maybe I have too little posts. I'll try to figure this out and then PM you.
Here's another 997.1TT 3.0 X-Pipe w/cats and mirror polished tips that just shipped today...a lot of these shipped recently and several more in the pipeline. Huge year end for 997TT 3.0 X-pipes!
Another 997.2TT 2.5 X-Pipe completed! This one with larger SpeedTech 3.0 dual tips and HJS cats. Perfect blend of refined sport sound with complete comfort in the cabin.
I received my Speedtech 3" X Pipe setup and just wanted to add a clip to help John or anyone else thinking about getting this exhaust. This was with the motor already warmed up and only revving to 2-3K.
I absolutely love the sound. There is no drone (in my opinion) when cruising and I'm able to have a conversation in the car. You can hear the turbos spooling up as you do some slight 50% accelerations and it sounds great.
The cold start was a lot louder than I anticipated which I feel bad for my neighbors (live in a town home complex) but once it completes it cold cycle, the exhaust is loud enough where it is noticeable at idle but not ridiculously loud. When you want it loud, yes this thing absolutely screams and sounds awesome!

Here is a installation tip: You can play with the tip depth to some degree by loosening the X-Pipe to cat clamps and rotating the upper section of the X-Pipe in or out. In your case, rotate in towards the car. It is harder to do once the exhaust has been clamped and exposed to high heat, but it can still be done. Loosen the X-Pipe retaining straps, and all the 3" accuseal clamps, move the clamps to the side and spray the joints and slots on both sides with WD-40, then rotate the upper section in towards the car. The tips will need to be re-adjusted due to the new angle created. Tighten everything up. Depending on how you have it installed, you may be able to achieve 2-3 inches.
Using John's installation tip you can get the tips almost flush with the body. Please excuse my dirty car in the photo. Installation was easy, fits very well. John's description of the sound is accurate and I get no drone from my 3" catted X-pipe.

Can you take a picture of underneath so we can see the angle of the exhaust and tip positioning to achieve that angle?
Bobby,
Here is a photo of mine from underneath. I purposely took it at the bracket. Look closely at the bottom leg of the bracket versus the top leg. The bracket comes welded to the X-pipe and then the OEM band clamp goes over it to hang the whole assembly. If you install it the way it comes with no changes it will already be at an angle. I wanted it to be slightly at more of an angle so I bowed the top leg of the bracket slightly. Do not over tighten the band clamp. Doing so will cause the bottom leg of the bracket to bow and reduce the angle. The band clamp hangs the exhaust, it does not have to be very tight. Honestly if this is simply installed as designed without any adjustment of the angle the tips will only project at most about 1/2 inch more than mine. If properly installed the tips will not project 2" to 3". In hind site I have to apologize, I should have taken photos with the bumper cover off to show more clearly what I am talking about.

Thx anyways for the photo! I am going to show this post to my shop and see if they can get it to sit more flush.
