Sure I guess there is limiting limits for torque/load that you could hit, but I also assume a tuner could leave a little "headroom" in the calibration for future upgrades.

My main point is unlike octane where there is no way of knowing, unless you "ride the knock sensors", the DME still knows about airflow.

I have the IPD plenum and GT3 throttle body, I did it because my stock hose would blow off all the time, the IPD setup never has, much stronger. Did not feel more power but the prevention of blown hoses = worth it.

I did a series of upgrades to my 07 turbo with multiple dyno runs. The thread is linked below. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably go for intercoolers, exhaust, and tune first and then consider intake upgrades. I cannot say that the larger TB and Plenum were an advantage over the stock size, but I do believe that the IPD plenum makes a real difference in air flow efficiency over stock. I also believe that the Y-pipe offers another real improvement in air-flow over stock.

As for CAI.....I am considering going back to stock and doing another series of pulls to see if there is any real difference in power. I do like how it sounds with the CAI vs stock.
