GIAC+bolt-on 997.2 Turbo S takes on 1,000 HP Ford GT
I'm calling this BS. I own both cars and I'm sorry a 700-750 HP car cannot hang with a 1000HP car from a rolling start especially a FGT with it's huge aero advantage in a half mile. There would be over 300 WHP difference here (remember a FGT has about 10% drivetrain loss versus over 25% in a TT). My 680 WHP Ford GT embarrasses my 700 crank HP 911 TT except from a standing start. From a standing start the 911 is faster to 60 MPH with much better traction then aerodynamics and pure HP take over very quickly. The FGT must not have been tuned well, driven well, or running well. I will admit mine is manual transmission so the PDK is faster, but come on.
Sorry numbers don't add up here. Fun video and really close race.

Hello Otis thanks I appreciate the feedback.
I would like to show you another video to see if you still think this is "BS". On the same day that I ran the FGT, I ran a Switzer E911 997.1 Turbo. This car is well documented on this forum, owned by yumaverick. This car made 830 AWHP. In addition, recently trapped over 140 mph in 90+ degree temps in the high elevation of Las Vegas. That would be 145 in low DA conditions. In addition, this car won the previous Shift Sector WSIR Roll-On Event. Even beating out Armik's 1,200 HP twin turbo FGT.
Now, watch this race and tell me what is more plausible, that the FGT isn't making that much power or that maybe the 997.2 with bolt-ons is making perhaps more than 700 HP and is very efficient at getting the power down? I look forward to hearing your assessment.

Btw I made 830 rear wheel HP. So prob 760awhp as they dynoed my car in rear wheel drive on a dyno jet!

I will also state that Longboarder has ALWAYS been accurate, in other words, NO BS concerning his posts. I have been to almost every 1/2 mile race he has been at and have run quite a few of the same cars.
It is always a shame to hear the stupid comments on these forums.
Your car is a lot faster than people give it credit for. Part of it actually believing such little mods can keep up with such monsters. Keep up the great work and who cares about the haters bro.

Oh my badd Anthony yeah 830 wheel. When we first ran at WSIR when I had the tune+plenum you left me like my car was just standing still. I think the intercoolers, exhaust and reflash to 22psi made a huge difference for me. And so hopefully your build will be complete in October, and I have a good feeling that once again you will leave me like I'm standing still

Sorry I don't have that data. I will try again with race fuel in a few months after things cool down again.
210 would be awesome and should put you right up there in the hunt with the fastest cars! Since Mayhem left for overseas, the California half-mile Airstrip events have since been dominated by the built Lambos and GTRs. But looks like the Porsche's are now in contention again with yours and the BBi car! I'm looking forward to the Fall!

Should do well in the rear wheel drive class.
The fuel system is the biggest set back with the 997.2....Even if he had the trans and built turbos.
I don't know if you use high oct unleaded fuel (like 116) the fuel system hold more whp on this cars, but is a theory
