Question Sport Steering wheel trim removal help!

Easy question - has anyone done it? I've changed the wheel on my '08 half a dozen times. Pretty straightforward. The trim is held onto the wheel by pins pushed into rubber seats.
The .2 sport whee is a bit of a different story. You remove the airbag the same way, through the pin at the bottom. Airbag disconnects easily. But how do you remove the trim??? Domer911 did a great thread, which illustrated what it looks like, but I can't get that trim to budge. Pro trim tools with full force are still no help. Here is what I'm using:

Please help me out!

Thanks! Any tips? Doesn't seem the pins are replaceable either.

feels a little like the moment of truth is upon us! Ryem-I broke one pin. Now it's a contest.

Once any portion of the thing budges, you need to back off and distribute the force more evenly around the hub. I think that's the secret to preserving the pins, dislodging them evenly a little at at time.

The trim is so tightly secured to the black housing that there's no way you are going to break it in half, btw.

Remember, you're not just pulling that trim piece out, you are pulling out the entire assembly that contains the windows, wiring, and framework for the front of the wheel.
