[QUOTE=TYE;4159059]Not a lot of trouble, its actually very easy
for you, its easy. i gave up stereo install in my 20's . my old eyes and shaky hands and general laziness make these things very hard. but after reading the good reviews and looking at install videos, i decided to send this thread to my installer. its going in monday. thanks to all of you on this forum.

For $100, Tranzit Blue is the real deal. It's not as nice as BT integrated systems in newer cars, but does get nice steaming audio/phone. Since it's direct wired to coax, sound is good. Don't forget to get the coax adapter. The little siri button hides nicely. The best option is a complete overhaul for 3-4k…. for those looking to stay stock, this is great.
CarPlay is the Apple interface to share screen with an iPhone (or more). Follow this link for more information from Apple's site:

Simplistically, this is equivalent to AirPlay for the car. Pioneer announced their offering: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/CarPlay/
Alpine is rumored to be working on a version too: http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/...coming-in-2014

Ahh yes... I was looking for a solution to work with the factory PCM... No way Apple CarPlay will integrate without am head unit. I was considering this transit blu, can anyone specify which one is required?
Just got it
After initial install of tranzit blu, it had trouble pairing .
Once paired ( had to hold the phone closer to the footwell)
sounded great. Downloaded the app , going to play with that next.
What does the app actually do?
Phone wont ring unless im streaming music.
All in all a great system for $250 installed. Thanks for all the reviews.

I had the Denison and it worked pretty good for me...to be honest the entire PCM isn't really good...if I had to do it again I would have replaced the entire head unit with pioneer or clarion unit.
